Wind Generated Energy Process

Wind is a renewable source with capabilities to provide clean and green power to the community using innovative turbine technology.

The Wind Generated Energy Process can be explained through this energy chain:

Sun (Energy Provider) > Wind > Turbine > Electricity

Sun

The sun heats the Earth’s surface unevenly, creating discrepancies in air temperature and subsequent differences in air pressure.

Wind

The result is what we experience as wind. The force of the wind increases as the difference in air pressure increases.

Turbine

Wind gradually revolves the turbine blades, which drive a generator to produce electricity. This energy travels through a transformer and into the local electricity network through transmission lines that distribute electricity to homes.

Electricity

Using natural energy via wind, Emu Downs Wind Farm is providing maximum energy with minimal environmental impact in the form of greenhouse gas emissions.
